"Hollywood Clinic"

I was put on forms and Category 5 special recently. My psychiatrist came to review me the following evening and took me off forms and the Category 5 special. She asked me when my partner was coming up and I told her it was the following day and she told me that she was planning on discharging me. I told her that I would be getting a referral from my doctor and coming in again under a different psychiatrist and she said that was my prerogative. I got my doctor to send a referral to Hollywood Clinic two days later, but when I phoned the following day I was told that no doctors would see me and that I was not allowed back in. I also received an email stating that I can not come back to Hollywood Clinic unless approved by one of their psychiatrists.

A support worker I am familiar with also phoned Hollywood Clinic, but was given no reason as to why I can not get back in. She asked if there was a way my psychiatrist who discharged me could make a referral to be seen by another psychiatrist and the lady on the other end of the phone said that yes she could do a referral, but could accept or reject to do so. I went to see my doctor and the only correspondence he received was stating that the psychiatrist and the Clinical Nurse Manager had decided that I was not going to be readmitted. The letter did not contain any reasoning and just stated at the end to contact psychiatrist for discussion.

My doctor tried to contact the psychiatrist, but was told she is not in until Monday. I feel that I am entitled to receive care under another psychiatrist and that I was discharged too soon after being taking off forms. I did nothing wrong whilst I was an inpatient and the psychiatrist was more than happy at the time. I was in there for me to seek a second opinion. I am home at the moment and my mental health has rapidly declined because of all that has happened.
