"EMyU/halloween decorations"

About: Bentley Mental Health Services / East Metropolitan Youth Unit (EMYU)

(as the patient),

As patients of EMyU, we have requested halloween decorations that are safe to be placed on a mental heath ward, but to no avail. As well as the Halloween decorations, as patients, we feel invalidated by the lack of information we are given by the staff here. We would love to be given more support.

Dear sierrand44

Thank you for your feedback. I understand that being in hospital during a festive time of year can be difficult and decorations may go some way to make this easier. Although it has taken me a couple of days to respond, as soon as I saw your correspondence I alerted the team and we arranged for some decorations for the unit. I’m sorry you feel there is a lack of information, we have a great team on the EMyU and they are disappointed to hear this and will definitely address this feedback by making it clearer for you how and who to ask for information about your care.
