I have recently been a patient in Sale Hospital. I've been to most hospitals, including many in Melbourne. But during my stay in Sale with pneumonia - the way the staff conducted themselves was something else, including the kitchen staff. The morning after I returned home the first thing I thought was, they're a bit late with my cup of tea this morning. :)
I'm very, very happy with how they looked after me. I'd walk down the corridor and the doctors would address me and ask how I was and give me the thumbs up. Where do to find that? The students were also very nice. All the staff were kind and caring.
... And those nurses, they're angels from Heaven. As far as I'm concerned they don't get paid enough.
Having pneumonia was pretty rough. I've been in hospital after accidents and have had a heart problem, but I've never had anything like that. I understand the bigger hospitals have a lot more people, but nothing beats amiability. You always remember the people who looked after you!
We have such a great country hospital. I was so well cared for from the ER all the way through ... and the meals... How often do you say the meals were so good in hospital, I came out having put weight on.
I just had to ring up and say something about it. The whole thing was flamin' fantastic!
