"Bunbury Regional Hospital ED and Short Stay"

I attended at Bunbury Hospital ED. I was triaged quickly, in minutes, and efficiently. Likewise the wait time in the waiting room was minimal, again minutes. In ED I was promptly examined and required medication organised to relieve extreme pain.

Required blood test and ECG was organised quickly and without fuss.

All staff who had contact with me introduced themselves clearly and pleasantly.

I needed further treatment which was clearly explained and transferred to the Short Stay Unit. Again, clear explanations were given and new staff introduced.

Each and every step during the day was clearly explained.

My wife was shown where facilities she could use were located, ie. Tea/Coffee.

Once all tests and scans were completed a full explanation of possible and probable issues were discussed and a plan of treatment completed with options explained and my choices respected.

The experience was certainly patient centred care.
