I was picked up by ambulance after suffering the effects of a stroke. After admission to Logan ED, I had to wait for some time for a CT, which as inconclusive. During this time, my symptoms rapidly grew worse, impacting my arm, sight, speech, swallowing and continence.
After 6 hours, I was treated with an aspirin.
After 3 days, I was investigated by MRI which confirmed ischemic bilateral stroke.
I have no faith in Logan Hospital after hours for any serious issue. Their rehab unit is good though, and the efforts of the allied health staff was appreciated. The speech pathologist was great.
