"My daughter was taken to hospital for a Febrile Convulsion"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

We saw Dr Fiona at Ipswich Hospital and she was amazing. I was currently 38 weeks pregnant so I was trying to stay calm whilst helping my toddler. The staff and nurses were so thorough and Dr Fiona constantly was updating me and sticking to the time frame she had given me. I was absolutely blown away. It was the first time to have to go to hospital with any of my children and the staff made me feel so safe and in good hands.

Dear Mumma bear

While it would have been a stressful time for you in the Emergency Department, it sounds like you did a great job staying calm under difficult circumstances. We certainly hope that your little one is now recovering well.

It is wonderful that our staff were able to provide reassuring care while sticking to set timeframes. It sounds like they also did an excellent job of keeping you informed about what was going on and they included you in a team approach to your toddler’s treatment. We are so proud of the excellent work they do every day.

Your feedback will be shared with Dr Fiona and the team and they would join us in thanking you for your kind words.

Wishing you and your family good health for the future.
