My friend has self-admitted to Fiona Stanley 4 times in the last 2. 5 months and more recently attempted suicide. Fiona Stanley have consistently turned my friend away despite my friend's repeated requests for help. My friend is still in their teens with autism and no family support and no real life experience to help support them. My friend has a case worker via another service who has repeatedly told my friend to find their own way to hospital.
I believe if Fiona Stanley had taken my friend seriously, my friend would not have had an attempt at suicide. My friend needs to be admitted for a short stay in a Perth facility and given actual support to learn how to manage their own mental health, as well as allow time for their medications to settle. If I hear from the hospital, I will supply my friend's information so my story can be verified.
