Recently my father was taken to the Busselton Hospital via ambulance with my sister. My father was not well and is actually palliative, but has been doing very well up until then.
They were seen by a doctor, who we believe was very rude and how she addressed my mother and sister about my father's care we feel was inappropriate. Telling my sister once she was aware that she was a nurse and so was her sister, that my father's organs were shutting down and that she would advise her to get me down as I live away from Busselton.
The way she addressed my mother asking her to make decisions about my father's care we believe was very insensitive and in our opinion, not actually getting the facts right about my father's experience of his day. My mother was extremely upset, but once she gained her composure she did tell this doctor that she was very inappropriate in how she spoke to her and my sister. Hearing my mother in tears on the phone was very distressful and I tell you now the doctor was just very lucky that I wasn't down there to discuss this further with her face to face.I feel that maybe next time she might get her facts right before asking clients to make decision about a family members life.
"Hospital admission for my father."
