About: Mirikai Residential Rehabilitation Facility

(as the patient),

Claire I don't even know where or how to begin to thank you. You have believed in me and invested so much time, effort, blood, sweat and tears (Guy told me you had a teary) into me and my recovery.

As you know I've been on this road a long time and have been let down time and time again when I've reached out for help and support. I came into rehab knowing what I needed to do, but with a closed mind and with so much doubt. You changed all this and made me believe in myself. You gave me that internal light at the end of the tunnel that I needed.

Everything is happening so fast, everything I've been waiting for but didn't think would ever actually happen for me.

I just wanted to make sure I took the opportunity to thank you and wanted you to know how much I appreciate every minute you spent with me during work hours, but also all the time you were working from home on letters, etc.

You have really changed my outlook on life and made me want to live life by making s*#t happen instead of just sitting back and letting s*#t happen to me.

The morning when you ran through the hab, woke everyone up and then took me for coffee down the road was the day I met a lady that I could trust and highly respect and I knew would support me through the long hard journey I had just started.

I can't thank you enough. You have really given me a brand new start for me and my kids. ❤️

Hello taurusqp56

Thank you for your story about the changes you have been able to make in your life and the speed of it all, since you came to Lives Lived Well's Mirikai Rehabilitation Program. In particular the support you have been able to receive from Claire to believe in yourself and make the changes.

The shift from 'letting things happen' to 'making things happen' is such a profound one, as our vision clears and we realise we do have influence on what is going on in our life. This usually comes as we begin again to believe in our goodness. Well done for persisting, for trusting enough to open a closed mind and to risk succeeding.

I wish you all the best in your new life with yourself and your children.

Warm regards
