My husband recently had day surgery at Central Gippsland Health (CGH), Sale Hospital and had a great experience. Initially, we were informed to expect a waiting period of up to 90 days for his surgery to occur and were very surprised to hear so much sooner than expected that due to a cancellation his surgery could go ahead. The staff in Patient Services were extremely helpful in getting the right information to us quickly and were understanding and very patient with our questions. On the day of the surgery, the admission was made smooth with smiling staff and no waiting around. The day procedure staff were lovely to deal with and I definitely felt secure trusting my husband's welfare with them. I just wanted to take the time to express how thankful we are for the care and professionalism shown to us during this experience.

This starts with the team in Patient Services who work very hard to ensure the co-ordination of elective surgery from the time of receiving the referral from your surgeon, to the time you arrive for your surgery.
