"Misdiagnosis of my child"

About: Bundaberg Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Well, my child had really bad stomach pains and was in tears. So I called the house doctor and they said it was going to be 1 to 4 hours before someone can see us so they said they would call 000 for an ambulance. This ambulance officer was lovely and caring to my child, told us to get them checked out but they felt that my child didn't need to go to the hospital in an ambulance. All we had to do is let them know that we got sent from the ambulance to get my child checked out. So after this all happened went to the hospital and did a urine test and found out apparently they had a UTI. So the doctor treated my child and gave them antibiotics. A week later we head back to the doctor and get a check up to say they didn't even have a UTI. Go figure that one so now my child is suffering from thrush from the antibiotics. So not happy.
