I came into Wonthaggi hospital to Emergency a few times during my pregnancy only because I was concerned. Each time I rang the staff were amazing, asking me question talking me through what was going on. I ended up coming in on two different occasions and it couldn’t had been a better experience. The staff were helpful, Sam, the doctor always went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied and felt okay before I went home, no matter what time it was I felt I could always call if I had any question and I would be reassured and be offered the help and advice I needed.
Delivering my baby in Monash was tricky, and hard. I had a lot of mixed emotions but I knew I had no choice and it was going to be the best place for my baby. After being sent home earlier then I would have liked to, Monash arranged for me to go back to Wonthaggi Hospital to be closer to home and my family and surrounded by people who were familiar and I felt comfortable with as I had been seeing everyone through my whole pregnancy. I was so thankful for what they did for us. I will never forget the moment of getting discharged from Monash late at night having to drive an hour and a half with a new born baby. Walking into Wonthaggi Hospital, that moment was precious even more so when I knew the first person that said hi, how can I help you? I knew then I was home and from then on everything has just been going perfect.
We would like to thank all the midwives, doctors, and all staff at the Wonthaggi Hospital. You definitely have offered us your full support and have all gone out your way to help us in anyway we needed. We have had nothing but a positive experience here at Wonthaggi and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone
