"Nurse who is an asset to the hospital"

About: Carnarvon Hospital

(as a relative),

My sibling has some neurological problems that are yet to be diagnosed, and has tremors and suffers seizures. A long story but in short my sibling was travelling Australia and was in Carnarvon WA when I got a call saying I had to get on a flight from Victoria to Perth and drive up to get my sibling and drive them back home to Victoria. They had seen Tracey at the Carnarvon Hospital who wanted to see me before we started the long drive back home.

Tracey gave us some tips on how to look after my sibling if they were to have a seizure. Tracy also contacted us on our way back to see how we were going and how my sibling was travelling. We made it back to Victoria with no issues and Tracey phoned me a week later to see how my sibling was. What a fantastic asset Tracey is to the Carnarvon Hospital, I can't thank her enough for her care she showed my sibling.

Dear aquilary86

Thank you for sharing you and your sibling's experience on Patient Opinion, particularly in light of what must have been an extremely stressful time for you both. Firstly I must apologise for the delay in responding as we have been trying to track down the staff member Tracey that you mentioned as we would really like to pass your kind words on. If you would be happy to send me some further detail that would assist me to identifying Tracey. My contact details are Michele.Young@health.wa.gov.au or 08 9956 8695 or send me a text to 0457 536 620.

We value your feedback and our staff love to hear when the work that they do is acknowledged in such a positive way. Our staff are committed to providing high quality compassionate care and a great patient experience for all people when they need our services.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. Patient Opinion strengthens the partnership we have with our patients, their families and carers by allowing an opportunity for them to share their personal stories which keeps myself and our organisation closely connected with what matters most.

I do hope that your sibling has been able to get some answers regarding their medical concerns. I wish you both the very best for the future and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Michele
