From the moment my husband and I walked in we were treated well. I was terrified and the midwives never left our side providing reassurance. Explanation was given throughout the entire labour and following birth. They made sure my husband was cared for and reassured. Support was always given and mental health was monitored. I was not pushed into breastfeeding which meant a lot!

We spent almost a week following the birth in the ward due to our baby being premature and even once I was transferred to a boarder mum, the care and treatment was still 10/10. Amazing staff who clearly love their job it really shines through.

My name is Kim Costin and I am one of the Nurse Unit Managers of our Women’s & Children’s Unit. I am so thankful that you have taken the time to provide your feedback.

Coming into hospital knowing your baby was going to be born prematurely must have raised concerns for you and your husband. I can understand that you felt terrified.

As a manager it is pleasing to know that the staff caring for you provided reassurance and ensured you were kept well informed throughout your labour and after the birth of your little baby.

It is very rewarding and inspiring for staff to receive such positive feedback and I look forward to sharing your story with them. They will be impressed knowing that you scored them 10/10.
