Unfortunately I was taken in for urgent bowel surgery at Angliss Hospital. Not only was the wait time extremely fast (saw surgeon on Friday and had surgery the following Wednesday) but the care I received was perfect. I was welcomed in Day Surgery by the lovely reception staff and team within Day Surgery. The Day Surgery nurses made me feel so comfortable I fell asleep! I was kept informed of a small delay to my surgery by the surgeon himself - which was excellent considering he was obviously very busy.

My post operative care on 2W was similarly excellent. Nurses were friendly and my pain relief was kept under control at all times. My privacy was respected at all times and my request for a closed theatre was accommodated. Whilst my visit from the surgical team was brief, it didn't bother me as the nurses had everything under control! Thank you Angliss Day Surgery, theatre and 2W teams.

I was so pleased to read how the staff brought the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindess, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility to life as per your comments.

It will give me great pleasure to share your comments with these teams and their managers so they get to see the impact their efforts had on your experience. I am so proud of the work our teams do each and every day and I commend them for their efforts.
