I have been on a 30 year roller coaster with alcohol and drugs and came to a stage where I needed to change my life style. I was, physically, emotionally and mentally bankrupt. I made a decision to do something about it. Through Alcohol and Other Drug Service (AODS) I found information about Logan House.

Logan House changed my life, I was dug out of a hole and given a future. I feel that I can go on and live a normal life now and have a positive future. I feel like a brand new person and am able to face life challenges.

After completing the Logan House program I chose to go to Transition House. I found being there very rewarding. Was given a chance to slowly get back into the community and live independently but with support. I feel that choosing to go to Transition House was a way to slowly integrate back in society. I found the experience positive and was supported all the way through both programs. Best decision I ever made.

Thank you for your story. Your courage and determination to do something about the 'bankruptcy' you experienced and become a 'brand new person... able to face life's challenges' is a great story. Programs such as those at Logan House give you a structure for you to do the work and to receive the support that you need to learn a new way of living.

Thank you for your recognition of the work of Lives Lived Well staff at Logan House and Transition House. It is great to hear you found the experience positive and supportive.
