"Personal experience as a volunteer"

I've been driving for CATS since early 2014. Joining up was one of the best things I ever did. This is a carefully and sensitively run organisation, with the clients at the centre of the operation, and I'd heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to volunteer. The job is flexible and enjoyable and the clients are overwhelmingly grateful for everything done for them. Yes, there's a fairly in-depth degree of paperwork to get into the system, both as a volunteer and as a client, but this is all to make the service reliable and safe for all. The support staff are delightful to work for/with and make volunteering an absolute pleasure.
