About: Broome Health Campus / Allied Health Royal Perth Hospital / Medical Day Unit Royal Perth Hospital / Orthopaedic Surgical & Trauma & Spinal Care Ward 3H/5G Royal Perth Hospital / Pre Anaesthetic Assessment Clinic

(as the patient),

I was recently admitted to Royal Perth Hospital for a total knee replacement.

From the moment I arrived I was treated with respect and professional care. The transition between the Pre-Anaesthetic clinic, the Medical Day Unit, theatre, and recovery was smooth.    

I must compliment the staff on Ward 3H for the exceptional care I received. All the staff and interdisciplinary team were aware of my daily progress. Advice and instructions were clear and any concerns were responded to immediately.

Particular thanks to Matt and the team.  The involvement of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist between hospitals made the transition home an easy process.

Thank you to all for your kind and professional care during a stressful situation.

Thanks for posting about your experience.

A total knee replacement is a big surgery; I remember when my sister had hers, and the recovery was not fun! It sounds like yours is going well, which is fantastic.

We are really proud of the Allied Health team here in Broome. They are always such a dedicated, positive, supportive group and they care deeply about what they do and the people they help.

I am assuming your reference to Matt and the team was in respect of Matt and the team here in Broome.

I will make a point of passing your feedback along to Matt, the rest of the team and the Allied Health Manager, Chris, as well.

It's always nice to be able to recognise our staff so thank you for giving me that opportunity.

I hope the rest of your recovery continues smoothly.
