About: Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (Angliss)

(as the patient),

I was enrolled in a Cardiac Rehab class at William Angliss Hospital. The classes and all the information provided was excellent, the staff extremely helpful and caring.

The only negative I have about the class was the lack of equipment provided for the patients. Some of the equipment was faulty and not working resulting in patients waiting for their turn. I find it rather upsetting that in a hospital of good repute and in an area that needs this type of service, funds cannot be provided for suitable working equipment.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share these comments regarding your experience with the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at The Angliss Hospital.

Your comments regarding the staff reaffirms to me the value of the program and also the way to staff support participants to reach better health. Replacing the thousands of pieces of equipment right across Eastern Health is a considerable challenge with the limited capital budget available to us. As a result of your feedback, I will ask the manager of this area to review what needs to be done and ensure this is included in the current capital equipment requests.

Thank you for your response.

While understanding budget restrictions I feel that this program is so important that up-to-date and working equipment is vital to the health of all heart attack patients.
