"My mum's admission & care at Allity Ridgehaven"

About: Ridgehaven Aged Care

(as a parent/guardian),

My mother's illness journey started way before we even knew what was actually wrong. Then she was misdiagnosed for a whole year. She continued to rapidly decline. Eventually we had a diagnosis of Motor Neurons Disease and Frontal Temporal Dementia. Her admission on the day was emergency respite care and although Allity Ridgehaven was 30 minutes away from home we accepted the offer.

Right from that very first contact with the beautiful staff at Allity I was comforted knowing that they knew exactly what we needed and were needing.

Being completely green to this aged care world I cannot thank the staff enough for how they cared for my mother. And these are the things that don't cost money. The smiles, the hugs, the engagement, and constantly going above and beyond what they are paid to do. The were nothing but FABULOUS and I am so very glad that mum spent her last three months of life there with them. I also must mention the Director, Deborah, what a lady! Kind, forgiving, supportive, explanatory and always available even at her busiest. Thank you Deb right to the very last hug! Right down to the management of end of life care I also must thank the Doctors and Head Nurses. Allity is such a beautiful place - very homely and unlike any other facility I have seen. They do make a difference and they care.

Deepest love and gratitude.
