"Kerang District Nurses"

About: District Nursing Service (Kerang District Health)

(as the patient),

I want to be able to get my story out and honest opinion on the wonderful care I received at Kerang District Health.

If I may put out there the absolute loving care I received from the District Nurses who welcomed me with open arms. I had a nasty wound on my ankle and being Type 2 diabetic this wound wouldn’t heal. It was very unhealthy looking. A friend mentioned to me the wound care management offered at their clinic.

My wound is almost healed after only a fortnight of such professional care. The District Nurses kept photo records of the progress of my wound start to finish. I am only to happy to say thank you and keep up the great work! You’re all amazing and a credit to the community. My heartfelt thanks to Sue, Julie and Catherine who gave such professional loving care.

Dear Jaqui,

Thank you for your story. The District Nurses run an open clinic for the community in their treatment room each weekday from 1-2pm. This is in the Allied Health Building opposite the Clinical Labs Pathology. Our district nurses have some very high level skills in wound management and two of them are WREN Nurses which means Wound Resource Education Nurse, who have undergone specialist training in caring for wounds.

It is fabulous that your wound was able to heal so quickly, and the staff will be very pleased to hear about your experience. Many thanks for sharing your story.

Kind Regards

Chloe
