"Meeting with doctors"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Doctors talk to each other and I would like them to talk to me directly. It is a bit disrespectful when they don't talk to me directly. I feel a bit out of place and I would like to give my opinion out, but I can't because they are not talking to me directly.

Dear craterwm68,

Thank you sharing the patients experience concerning how the doctors communicated in this instance. Essential to collaborative care with our patients and families is clear inclusive communication with them. Your feedback will be circulated to medical staff for their reflection and consideration.

Kind regards

Dr Pauline Rumma

Director of Clinical Services
