"Poor handling of complaint against Mental Health Ward"

I was a patient at the Lyell McEwen Mental Health Ward about 3 years back and again more recently. Recently I am standing firm in mental stability. To answer the question of how I feel now is not ok!

I called the Mental Health Ward at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Elizabeth recently trying to figure out who was in charge of my past Community Treatment Order and treatment and mental health plan, and how to go about making a complaint against them. I was calm but firm in my quest to find out this information.

I simply wanted to know who it was that was in charge of my past mental health history in order to know who to file the complaints against. I told two people who answered my calls at the Mental Health Ward my name upon request, and I was abruptly handled. I was hung up on twice.

A very nice person working the phones in the actual hospital said themselves that this was strange. This person was very helpful and even put me onto Consumer Advisors. I have left my number for this occurrence and previous occurrences to be followed up on.

I will be making a formal complaint against the people who handled my phone calls recently. I have the date and time but unfortunately they would not produce their names.
