"Placing my parent with dementia at the Manor"

About: Carinity Colthup Manor

(as a relative),

From the initial tour of Colthup Manor with my sibling, through the admission process and finally getting my parent into the Assisted Memory Unit, specialising in dementia care, our experience with all staff has been outstanding.

The front office staff, admission staff, head nurse, dementia nurses and support staff have all been extremely professional and caring. The facility is extremely clean, well stocked for items residents need and there is an outstanding list of activities and clubs, like the gardening club, and therapy supports for residents to attend on a daily basis. We also tried the food with my parent and were impressed with the menu and diet provided.

After looking at many homes, the Manor was a stand out facility. The relief for the family, and in particular my other elderly parent having their spouse of 60 years in a safe and caring environment has been fantastic. I highly recommend this facility. The rooms in the low care section are very large, the hospital wing also have individual rooms and the Jacaranda Dementia wing is beautiful, rooms are good size and there is a secure courtyard for residents - outstanding.

Ten out of ten.
