I’ve been here over several weeks and in the beginning didn’t like having the sides of my bed up in the night to stop me falling out and I was resisting it. Now I see it’s not the staff bossing me, but being nurturing and I am accepting it.

I’m enjoying the food, I’ll give it seven or eight out of ten. I often go into the day room for meal times, where there are nice comfortable chairs but there could be better selection of tv stations. Nothing in the DVDs interested me.

I wondered if the day room could be set up in an afternoon for patients to play cards sometimes if anyone else was interested.

A huge thank you to all the staff who do a great job and are very friendly.

Dear rhinomj85,

We value the feedback we have received from you as it helps us to recognise areas for improvement.

We are setting up a DVD library through our hospital volunteers that will build a bank of DVD’s so hopefully there will be some great movies for you to watch.

We have also been looking at a table to place in the day room for card playing and also for sharing lunch or morning tea.

I look forward to showing you our new purchases when they arrive.

I have passed on your lovely compliments to our staff that indeed do a great job every day.
