Recently, I met with nurse Rosalie from the Wounds Clinic in Busselton Hospital.
She had read up on my notes thoroughly and thus had time and empathy for my situation and listened - from having a double mastectomy and reconstruction this year, to removal of both air expanders, to chemotherapy and then to protruding gauze from an earlier infection site, with a recommendation for PICO dressing at another hospital.
Rosalie was very professional, thorough, informative and knew what my background was and has done her best to give me the best care in the closest proximity.
She explained clearly every step of the way and gave recommendations of who to pass this over to and that this needed to be followed up regularly. I came away from the visit feeling this professional had a real understanding of my needs.
I was in extremely good hands. The ladies at Reception also were great.
How important it is to feedback and give thanks to those that take the time to make a difference in someone’s life who is vulnerable.
Always so much to be thankful for.
"A thank you to the staff"
