"Treatment of another patient"

About: Innisfail Hospital

(as a friend),

Seeing all I saw has made me sick to the stomach about the bad attitude of the nurses and what I feel is their shocking bedside manner towards an elderly patient at the Innisfail Hospital.

I viewed a nasty bruise on the patient's arm that I believe was from nurses jabbing needles into them. They were snapping at the patient and, I feel, not bothering to help them properly. I felt there was no privacy with the nurses just outside the curtain that was around bed eavesdropping and listening to all that was said. This included personal important things and then I saw nurses blurting out all at the nursing station to other nurses and doctors as I walked past.

How rude. I feel their attitude is disgusting. I heard smart remarks as I walked past the nursing station. I believe the Innisfail Hospital has been like this for years. I've been in there myself and had stitches without enough pain killer given to numb the area being stitched. I could feel the needle going in out of my skin and after a couple of days the stitches fell out. I have a nasty scar and a soft spot because it did not heal properly. I feel it's not a welcoming place even as they say you can go home.
