"Small improvements"

I have always been treated fairly here at Moyne but I believe there are a lot of ways in which people can improve things.

I do not like it when management doesn't put in an apology when there are functions for staff or memorial services on at the Kenyana Centre, I feel it is very rude when they don’t let us know or apologise for not telling us. And I also do not like it when I have asked for prescriptions and it has taken a while to get them.

I am also very committed to doing something about the environment and I would like to know why Moyne is not doing the same thing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are committed to providing high quality care and services that meet your needs and personal preferences.

So we can improve in each of these areas, we have shared your feedback with the management team at Moyne Aged Care Centre.

Going forward, when functions or memorial services take place, these will be announced on the PA system. We will also arrange staff to individually advise each resident prior to functions or services.

Prescriptions are managed in consultation with each resident’s general practitioner (GP). We will discuss our current process with GPs to see how this can be improved and ensure that in future, waiting time is reduced.

Please note, Moyne Aged Care Centre is very committed to helping the environment. Recently, we installed new rainwater tanks and have also commenced two recycling programs for the Centre. We continue to look for great initiatives and welcome suggestions on other ways we can help our environment. Please feel free to share this with the Centre Manager.

Thank you so much for the feedback and I was very pleased to hear that you have been treated fairly by the team at Moyne.

I really appreciated the chance to read your suggestions and I was happy to see the responses from the site leadership to action the things that are within our control, such as the announcements about the use of the Kenyana Centre and ensuring our residents are informed.

I learnt something new about some of the sustainability measures that had been taken on-site when I read the response to you, and I would encourage you and the rest of the residents to keep on challenging us to do better and more with our environmental initiatives.
