"Dangerous Car Park"

About: Katanning Health Service

(as the patient),

I attend the Katanning Health Service often for appointments and every time I attend, there are staff and government plated cars parked along the street and in the patient car parks.

Every time I pull out of the car park my line of sight down the street is blocked and I can not see oncoming cars. This is very dangerous.

I believe staff should be parking in their car park around the back of the hospital and not in the front patient car parks.

I feel this needs to be dealt with.

Dear camelopardalisje75,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and express your concerns about parking arrangements in and around the Katanning Health Service. The Katanning Health Service has dedicated staff parking areas and we will remind staff to use these areas so that parking at the front of the hospital is available for patients and visitors.

With regards to roadside parking, we have raised this issue with the Shire of Katanning and we are pleased to advise that they have recently erected 'no parking' signs at the entrance and exit driveways of the health service to improve safety and line of sight. Hopefully, this addresses your concerns.

The Shire of Katanning can be contacted on 9821 9999 if you have further suggestions for improvements.

Thank you for raising this matter with us and giving us the opportunity to improve our service to the community.

Best wishes

Robyn Millar
