"Mental health care in Kalbarri"

About: Kalbarri Health Centre / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My child, was hospitalised over night recently after trying to commit suicide. Carolina was one of the main nurses that provided care for my child.   Carolina was very understanding and caring in the way she approached this situation and helped all of us at that hard time. She also made an effort to follow up with us over the next few days and weeks to check my child's progress.   We feel very grateful for how loving and caring Carolina was, particularly in a very hard moment of our life.

Dear Mermaid,

Thank you for writing to us via Patient Opinion with a lovely compliment about the care your received during a very difficult time for your family. I was sorry to hear about your child’s mental health issues, and hope that they are well on the road to recovery.

It is certainly times like this that you need understanding and considerate care from health professionals and I was glad to hear that this had been provided to you, during both the crisis period and afterwards for follow-up. I will ensure that your compliment is forwarded to Carolina and the team at Kalbarri Health Service, who I am sure will be very grateful for your kind words.

Kind Regards

Liz
