"Need to improve on waiting times"

(as a parent/guardian),

My child went there recently with pain in their right side. After waiting a long time the nurse asked my child for a urine sample which they did straight away.  Then had to wait again for the sample to be tested. So after arriving at the clinic at around mid-morning, my child had to leave at mid-afternoon for work, the nurse told my child, we can see something to do with your kidneys but you will need to see the doctor. My child told them they had to leave I have been waiting for hours.

I'm sorry but I feel this is not acceptable, I understand that you have to wait to see doctors and there are emergencies, but waiting nearly 5 hours with no results from the doctor, no apology from staff for the delay, no food or drink offered and, I believe, seeing not many other patients going in and out. I believe there were other patients that up and left too, having to wait far too long  This isn't the first time, it also happened to me recently.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I wonder if you could give me a call on 0472 846 355 so that I can better understand the issues. As you know, we have only one doctor and one or two nurses on duty and they will always see the sickest patient first.

I understand this can be frustrating, particularly when you also lead a busy life. I also know that it is difficult to get an appointment at the GP practice which is why some people head our way.

I would be pleased to chat with you to look at the time and shift report to understand your delay.
