"Kalgoorlie Emergency Department"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I bought my young child into ED today after they hit their head at the public swimming pool. They had an open cut to their forehead that needed attention. The ED triage nurse was really nice, speaking to my child which made them feel at ease. We only waited about half an hour to see the Doctor.

The Doctor "Jess" was so lovely making myself and my child comfortable with what was about to happen. My child needed local aneasthetic and three stitches. Nurse "Sophie" helped hold my child and both Sophie and Jess continued to talk to us to keep the stress levels down. In and out in two hours and the stitch job appears to look great too. Thanks so much for the great care that we received!

Dear deltamc49,

Thank you for your kind words about the care you received in the Kalgoorlie Hospital Emergency Department. Though you have also mentioned specific individuals, and I will certainly let them know of your personal praise, I think your feedback reflects well on the whole department and I would like to share it more generally.

I hope your child recovers quickly from their injury and is back to enjoying summer at the pool as soon as possible.

Regards

David Bowdidge
