I feel sick to the stomach about what happened to my parent. I lost my lovely parent due to terrible mistakes.
First, my parent was to continue to receive bone injection from an endocrinologist at St George Hospital but they questioned why a doctor at St Vincent Cancer Clinic and stopped the injection, see with that mistake my parent spread cancer to the bones.
Second of all my parent’s doctor failed them. My parent was admitted to St George Hospital in Kogarah under the care of this doctor, but they never received any treatment for 3 weeks only blood test, X-ray, blood tests, X-ray. The worst part is that this doctor told me that there is no mass tumor in my parent’s liver. If only this doctor had done radiotherapy for the tumor but they did nothing. My parent had deloxthan injection against cancer but the doctor stopped the treatment after 1 week. Then when my parent got discharged from St George they were talking to me and telling me they will go to Calvary Hospital - Kogarah for 2 weeks rehabilitation to feel a bit better. But when I arrived at Calvary Hospital, my parent, in my opinion, appeared to be a different person.
I believe the nurses and doctors there just gave my parent needles sedative all day. Later in the week I was there and saw my parent getting jabbed 8 times in the leg, thigh and arms, which made me sick. The next day I believe they received a high dose of sedative and my lovely parent which I loved, passed away.
The worst thing is when one of the doctors told me the bad news, they laughed at me. I said to them, what's so funny? The dr did not say. Are they happy with my pain? I felt they had no respect for my other parent or my family’s pain. In my opinion, they are a disgraceful person and that made me so angry.
I believe my parent had one last chance with radioactive iodine that the endocrinologist doctor gave them to extend my parent’s life for a few more months. When I told the doctor at Calvary Hospital about this the day before my parent passed away they said no, my parent can’t have it. The medications that St George Hospital gave my parent to take to the doctors at Calvary Hospital I believe were never given to my parent and the medications were important like oroxine for thyroid which I believe the doctors refused to give him. I feel I will also never ever trust St geode Hospital Kogarah and St Vincent’s Cancer Clinic Hospital again.
"Disappointed with the doctor's care of my late parent"
