Took my child into ED in the early hours of the morning recently. Experienced the most amazing service from the moment we walked in. Came in with my child who had extreme abdo pain.
Belinda our first nurse was so kind and compassionate. She listened to my child‘s concerns and treated them with respect. Then we had Nicola who did the same. Each nurse took the time to explain what was happening and why. The doctors were also kind and considerate, speaking to my child as the patient rather than directing questions to me (which is what I am used to). This relaxed my child as they felt heard and understood.
When we were transferred to W&C my child had an allergic reaction to medication. The nurses (particularly Eliza and Danielle and Maree) were all extremely caring and reassuring. The situation was stressful but was made so much easier because of the amazing care we received from the moment we entered ED. Congratulations CGH on providing exceptional patient care.
