Due to ongoing illness & short stays in William Angliss, when I was discharged last time unbeknown I was put under the care of the HARP team & before long I was contacted by a diabetes educator, dietician & physiotherapist all wanting to see me.
I subsequently was visited by all & all trying to help me manage my illness. I must say that I was totally disappointed in one of the other HARP members who decided that it was their responsibility to make a call on renewal of my car licence & notified Vic Roads re same. I really was upset with this but due to some other factors, I surrendered my licence anyway.
I can only speak good words re the HARP nurses, they have honestly been just the best & they continue to visit me. The physio nurse tried to get me exercising which is important & my dietician is currently trying to help lower my blood/sugar readings & my dietician is doing their very best in trying to get me to eat more healthily & cut down on portion sizes & that has been quite a challenge for me but am doing my best. But now & then I eat more than I should & have some things which I shouldn't.
As for me, I have definitely been helped by the HARP team so a big thank you.
