"Doctor gave my child the wrong medication"

About: GPs in the Swan Electoral District

(as a parent/guardian),

My Aboriginal child had Impetigo on their face and I felt the doctor at the Medical Centre wasn't really interested and gave my child the wrong medication. The doctor prescribed Cortic-DS which is a steroid cream that made my child's school sores worse.

I went back a week later as my child's face was worse and swollen. I saw a different doctor and explained to them that the first doctor prescribed Cortic-DS. This second doctor soon said no this will make the infection worse and prescribed me with the right medication, which was Bactroban, an antibiotic cream which worked almost straight away on my baby.

I will not be taking my kids back to this Medical Centre as I think some of the doctors I have dealt with there are a bit racist and have no interest in my children. I feel it is very sad that the first doctor prescribed my child with the wrong medication so shame.
