"My elderly parent's hospital stay"

About: Flinders Medical Centre

(as a relative),

I am doing this as my parent is now home and no repercussions will get to them. This is in hope they make vast and quick improvements to the food they serve the patients. And told to make a complaint by the Drs too might I add.

There are a few:

My parent's last dinner meal. Lifted the lid and there were 4 pieces of trombone/butternut and nothing else on the plate.

Ordered an omelette and it was bland in my opinion, plain, I believe no other ingredient added, this was for tea.

Scrambled eggs for tea with, I believe, raw cabbage and carrots slithered on top.

A cup of tea was, I believe, only water and no teabag.

My parent is diabetic and was served apple crumble custard full of sugar. I felt it was way too sweet for a non-diabetic.

I believe there has been a lot said in the media about the food but I feel they are not listening and do not care. What if it was their parent?

I believe in order for patients to get better they must eat. This is nothing other than atrocious in my opinion.

I feel they should try the food. When they are cooking it, I feel they should taste it first.

These are human beings and I feel they should be treated better than what the hospital is serving out.
