"Compassionate staff"

About: Bunbury Hospital

(as a relative),

My elderly and frail relative was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department (ED) in Bunbury. They were cared for by a very kind doctor (Dr F), and nurses Sonya and Susan who all showed concern and great understanding of how to make my relative comfortable. They all communicated very clearly, patiently and respectfully and worked hard to ensure my relative's ongoing comfort.

They were transferred to the medical ward into the care of Dr H and the nurses there, Hannah, Vicki, Trish, and others who showed genuine compassion, not just for my relative but also for us as their family. We can’t thank everyone enough for helping us all through a difficult experience.

Dear giraffegy36,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on Patient Opinion.

All the staff will be very thankful for your kinds words and recognition of the care that your relative has been provided.

I have passed on your story to the managers of the ED and Medical Ward and also the medical team, they will ensure staff see a copy of your post. Feedback like this is highly valued by the staff, so thanks again for taking the time to post.

I do hope your relative has recovered well and thanks again for the wonderful feedback.
