My parent was admitted to Box Hill Hospital, having been taken by the amazing paramedics with what they thought could be a stroke. They phoned ahead to the hospital and my parent was met by a doctor immediately and assessed.
My parent then had a seizure which they now say was an epileptic seizure. They have been given meds and is so far doing ok. The problem is that my parent was not given their medication for their diabetes or their high blood pressure. This was only picked up by the pharmacist as my parent was getting ready to be discharged.
I handed the Webster pack to the paramedics and I saw them hand them over to the hospital. I also spoke to 2 doctors and told them what meds my parent takes. I just don't want to see this happen to anyone else as it could have serious consequences
Thank you
"Correct medication not given"
