"Interdepartmental communication"

My spouse underwent cardiac surgery recently, spend 5 days in ICU and 5 days in a private room. Nothing but praise for the doctors, nurses and the facilities.

We were all made at home through a very stressful time. Why I am writing is because I believe the coordination between the different departments (nurses, X-ray, doctors, etc.) is very chaotic, which is a shame. One never knew what was going to happen next, especially on the first day, but also later on, which made it very hard to keep track of possible visiting times and was quite unsettling for the patient.
