While a patient there, the following happened:
- I felt a Senior clinician included baseless information in the written justification on a Treatment Order
- Another Doctor gave, I believe, a different diagnosis to my GP, compared to my NoK
- I felt another two Doctors conspired to intimidate me into silence (witnessed by 1 other staff member I believe)
- In my opinion, I was bullied by a clinician, despite the Hospital's published policy on bullying (I believe it was witnessed by 2 other staff members)
I have plenty more verifiable facts, but I feel this should be enough to allow you to decide whether you want to be treated at Victoria's Box Hill Hospital - Upton House.
When I approached the Main Reception at Box Hill recently, I was told that I could not talk to someone. Instead, I was given a printed brochure. Inside the brochure, it said: "Talking to the staff ... caring for you is the best strategy in the first instance." Reception did not suggest or offer that alternative!
As using this website was the next alternative in the brochure, I used this as, in my opinion, it was the most public forum for my allegations (which in my opinion might be considered as serious). My opinion is that a public forum like this would allow the widest public availability of this information.
Additionally, they did not suggest I speak to any of the "Patient Relations Advisors" (Alternative #5).
"Poor staff treatment and lack of information"
