Recently our elderly parent was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and was diagnosed with Pneumonia and a new condition, diabetes. The medical team on Level 9 could not have been more different from our last experience with a different hospital.
I feel the doctors and nurses were compassionate, professional and caring. They were very supportive of our parent's care and the care that was received was excellent in my opinion.
They also assisted in helping us find a new aged care facility, as our family did not believe our parent had been cared for adequately. Our parent was released from Royal Adelaide and we want to thank everyone on Level 9 for the fantastic care received.
We appreciate our parent is elderly and would not subject them to any major operations etc, however, everyone has the right to medical attention, care and antibiotics.
Royal Adelaide and their team should be commended for their excellent care and in my opinion other hospitals could learn from them.
