I came into the Emergency Department after an epileptic seizure. The paramedics were aware that I had fallen from a standing position straight onto the floor, hitting my head without any disruption.
This resulted in me having a black eye, a bleed in my eye and a concussion. The Emergency Department took care of the seizure and ensured I was medicated to prevent further epileptic fits, however, they didn’t check for a concussion after I fell flat on my face.
The day after they discharged me, I became nauseous and started vomiting and experiencing severe headaches. I’m concerned that they may ignore other patients with potential concussions in the future.
