"Hospital visit"

About: Beverley Health Service / Emergency Department Royal Perth Hospital / Acute Assessment & Medical Ward 5B & Surgical Ward 5E

(as the patient),

I had to visit my local ED (Emergency Department) recently as I was not feeling well and needed to be helicoptered out due to health issues.

I would like to say a massive thank you for all the help and kindness shown and for the outstanding work from the two nurses RN and EN on the night shift that night, who looked after me.

It became very scary for me and my spouse and my two nurses looked after us both, above and beyond just a nurse, in my opinion. A big thank you also, to the lovely local ambo ladies who came to take me down to the helicopter and the lovely dr who transported me to Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and all the lovely staff at RPH who looked after me over the next couple days.

It’s times like this I am so thankful for our health care system we have here in Australia.

Dear attendantnr65,

Thank very much for sharing your story with us. It is wonderful to hear these stories where a number of organisations in the health system have been involved to ensure patients receive the best possible care in the right place.

I have notified Michelle Bauer, Health Service Manager Beverley Health Service to advise her of your feedback and a job well done to staff.

The St John Ambulance Volunteers at Beverley do a fantastic job and I will take pleasure in passing your story on to all involved.

I trust you are on the road to recovery and wish you well.

Best wishes

Trenton Greive

Dear attendantnr65,

Thank you so much for letting us know of your recent experience involving a number of health services, including Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). I am very pleased to hear that the care you received was both timely and well-coordinated. I am so glad that you and your spouse felt well looked after throughout your journey, especially as this must have been such a frightening experience for both of you.

We are fortunate to have a group of such wonderful and dedicated staff and I am sure they will be most grateful for your thoughtful acknowledgement of their efforts.

Please accept my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Warm regards

Dr Lesley Bennett
