"Cared for by all involved"

About: Bentley Hospital / Community Rehabilitation & Aged Care Assessment Team Royal Perth Hospital / State Major Trauma Unit Ward 3G Warren Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a motorcycle accident. I was airlifted to RPH State trauma. I since then have been transferred to Bentley Rehab and now Warren District Hospital. This has enabled me to be close to family.

I lost control of my motorcycle while trying to avoid a ram that was on the road reserve. I was ejected onto the road and suffered multiple fractures of my rib cage, spinal fractures, a pelvis fracture, collar bone fracture and shoulder blade fracture. At the time of the accident, I was cared for by all involved in a totally professional manner from the volunteer ambulance staff to the Rescue helicopter staff and then the subsequent hospital staff. I have had a very good level of care from the health care system. Doctors, nurses and auxiliary staff have been tremendous. I felt my welfare has been a priority with all of the staff that has been assigned to me. I am thankful that the care and medical treatment has enabled me to have progressed this far with my recovery.
