My young child, who is a kidney transplant recipient, presented to the Geraldton Regional Hospital with an unexplained fever.
I spoke to the Triage Nurse explaining the situation and due to my child being immunocompromised, we were quickly moved into an available consultation room to protect them from further viral infections.
My child was seen by a lovely doctor and caring nurses who were very thorough with the investigations and also contacted my child's paediatrician to make them aware of what was happening and handed over care to them. The care my child has received at this hospital has been exceptional every time in my opinion, from the Emergency Department team, right through to the nurses on the Children's Ward.
I believe we are also very lucky to have such wonderful and caring paediatricians who work very hard to deliver the best care for their patients. Keep up the great work Geraldton Regional hospital, thank you all for everything you guys do.
