"Our child was in the most capable hands"

About: Albany Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Last year my adolescent child fractured both their wrists (one very bad) in a mountain bike accident.

I had never had to deal with broken bones or any sort of emergency with my children before so this experience at the hospital was all very new. The staff that cared for my child were amazing in my opinion. I felt they were so empathetic but professional at the same time and we knew our child was in the most capable hands.

We were constantly reassured from the beginning in the Emergency Department, through to the stay in the ward.

Dear spectatorhh93,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience about the Emergency Department of Albany Health Campus.

Coming into hospital can be a very daunting experience and it is wonderful to know that you felt safe and reassured in the hands of our medical and nursing teams.

I hope that your child is recovering well and I will pass on your lovely feedback to all our staff.

Kind regards

Vicky Besier
