Surgery on a badly infected abscess and an overnight stay for my adult child who also suffers from Huntingtons Disease a Neurological disorder. I believe our GP was unable to do anything about the abscess as it was badly infected and wrote a letter for us to take to the ER which we did around the afternoon recently.
My child was in a lot of pain and as the abscess was on their bottom was unable to sit down so was quite distressed. We were taken straight to triage where it was determined surgery was needed. From that time until we were taken up to the ward we were informed every step of the way as to what was happening. I can't speak highly enough of all the care my child received. The surgery took place later that night and I went home feeling my child was in good hands and that all the health carers were aware of their needs.
With the pressure on all medical staff at this difficult time, I have nothing but praise for their patience and understanding and I hope this will be passed on to them.
"The wonderful care my child received"
