Would you be so kind as to pass on my appreciation to your staff for the wonderful attention and treatment my father received recently.
He had been transported to Emergency at St. George Hospital, Kogarah, by the NSW Ambulance Service as he was suffering from food poisoning.
My father and mother both live together in their own home. I live over an hour away and after my daily phone call to them my father told me of his situation. I immediately put in a call to the Ambulance Service.
My adult child and their family had proceeded to my parent’s house at my request to await the ambulance.
I believe my adult child's spouse travelled with my father to the hospital after the Ambulance Service members had assessed him. I travelled from home to the hospital to see my father later that night.
My child's spouse informed me that from the moment they arrived at the hospital with my father they were attended to promptly, efficiently and with care and friendliness.
Upon my arrival I found this to be the case also. My father and I were made to feel relaxed and confident that he would be fine. He was eventually diagnosed as suffering from food poisoning. This may have been due to the fact that he has lost his sense of smell and taste.
After various blood tests and X-rays, it was determined that he should be kept overnight for further observation.
It would be greatly appreciated if this letter of praise would be passed on to those wonderful nurses, Doctors and wards people who cared for my father during his admission and to all staff in general whether on duty that night or not.
Please accept my, and my family’s, gratitude for the exceptional treatment my father received.
"Gratitude for treatment"
