I would like to compliment the exceptional service, patience and medical care Dr Madhuri and the nurses (especially the nurse wearing a pair of love heart-shaped glasses - sorry I didn't get her name) have provided to me and my child overnight recently.
My child had difficulty breathing, tightness in chest and wheezing. Dr Madhuri was very patient in answering all my queries and concerns without prejudice of my previous visits to the Emergency Department (ED) because of this or similar situations.
I felt she was also very professional and thorough when assessing my child. This is very evident when she wanted my child to stay for observation after the protocol Ventolin administration. This is in contrast to my previous visits to the ED where the doctors sent us home to monitor or administered more Ventolin resulting in discomfort to my child.
The nurse with the heart-shaped glasses built a great rapport with my child, provided exceptional medical support and service with patience. She was the only nurse I have come across in the ED who stayed with us and counted to 12 on all occasions when my child was administering the Ventolin in ED.
She was patient and addressed my concerns on my child's conditions (i.e. increased heartbeat) without prejudice or a judgemental view of my previous visits to the Emergency Department because of this or similar situations.
She also explained to us what medication another nurse gave my child and how it will help their situation then.
I can confidently say that I feel both Dr Madhuri and the nurse with the heart-shaped glasses (please tell me her name when you find out who she is) are one of the best doctors and nurses I have come across in PCH’s ED.
Please help me relay my sincere thanks and compliments to them.
Kind Regards.
